Yoga and Mindfulness

Yoga is an integral part of Sparsh High’s curriculum, promoting physical and mental well-being among students. Weekly yoga sessions foster mindfulness, flexibility, and focus. The school also proudly observes International Yoga Day, encouraging holistic development and a healthy lifestyle from an early age in a nurturing and supportive environment

Sports

Sports play a vital role in primary education by fostering physical fitness, teamwork , discipline and confidence among  young learners . The Annual Sports Day at Sparsh High  is more than just a day of competition — it’s a celebration of spirit, effort, and excellence. It brings the entire school together, reinforcing the values of respect, hard work, and unity that we uphold throughout the year.

Rootendness in Culture

Teaching rootedness in culture during early education is vital. Sparsh High emphasizes this by celebrating diverse festivals, helping children embrace secularism, respect all religions, and value India’s rich heritage. These celebrations nurture inclusivity and cultural awareness, laying a strong foundation for unity and mutual respect in young hearts.

Music and Dance

At Sparsh High  music and dance play a vital role in early childhood education. They spark creativity, boost confidence, enhance coordination, and support emotional expression. Through joyful rhythms and movements, children develop cognitive and social skills, laying a strong foundation for lifelong learning in a fun and engaging way.

International Dimension

Sparsh High proudly participated in the British Council’s International Dimension program and successfully crossed the intermediate level. The project focused on cultural heritage, fostering global awareness and appreciation among students. It offered a valuable opportunity to explore diverse traditions, promote international collaboration, and celebrate the rich cultural roots of various countries. Sparsh High successfully collaborated with a partner school in Nepal under the British Council’s International Dimension program. Together, they explored and celebrated each other’s cultural heritage. This enriching exchange complemented the theme and helped students gain a broader global perspective, promoting respect, understanding, and international friendship.

Environmental Awarenes

Environmental awareness from primary school is not just about knowledge—it’s about creating a mindset and lifestyle rooted in sustainability. NEP 2020 rightly places this at the heart of foundational learning to build a greener, more responsible SPARSH HIGH creates opportunities for students to participate in various environment related activities like field trips to nurseries, making a kitchen garden at the school, cleanliness drives in the locality, distribution of paper bags and saplings in the locality, making compost pits, making best out of waste, e-waste drives, poster and placard making competitions on both World Environment Day and Earth Day.

Critical Thinking

CRITICAL THINKING:  Developing a scientific research spirit and an inquisitive mind in primary education is not just about science — it’s about shaping independent, critical, and ethical thinkers who can question, learn, adapt, and lead. It lays the foundation for empowered, informed, and responsible citizenship in the 21st century   Sparsh High students are taken to Science museum.

 SCIENCE EXHIBITION :   Sparsh High organizes science exhibitions where children actively participate by creating innovative models on topics like rainwater harvesting and human anatomy, including the digestive system , respiratory system, models of solar system, various types of houses, important monuments of India etc . These exhibitions promote creativity, scientific thinking, and hands-on learning, encouraging young minds to explore real-world concepts and develop a deeper interest in science. During these exhibitions renowned artist , ademicians and beurocrats 

Sparsh High was honoured to have renowned actor of Assam  Kopil Bora , Sri Om Prakash ( IAS)  Mission Director,  Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan  and Jayanta Narlikar commissioner and secretary Assam government  as chief guests in year 2021 , 2022 and 2023 respectively to inaugurate the science exhibition.

Community Service

Community service is a vital part of Sparsh High;s curriculum, where students actively participate throughout the year. They donate extra stationery, old clothes and grains from home to support a community lunch for underpriviledged children. Sparsh students personally serve meals nd hand over donations,  nurturing empathy, kindness and a strong sense of social responsibility from an early age.

Art and Craft

Art and craft play a vital role in primary education, nurturing creativity,emotional expression and fine motor skills. As per the NEP 2020, integrating arts into education fosters holistic development and joyful learning. At  Sparsh High, children actively engage in art and craft during every celebration, enhancing imagination and cultural awareness. These activities help in develop confidence, critical thinking and a love for learning from an early age.

Field Trips

Sparsh High, organize monthly field trips to various  places like post offices, amusement parks, book fairs, science museums, nursery ,Naam ghar etc . These hands-on experiences align with NEP 2020, fostering experiential learning, curiosity, and real-world understanding. Field trips help young learners connect classroom knowledge with practical life, promoting holistic development and joyful learning—core goals of primary education under the NEP. Learning becomes meaningful, memorable, and fun beyond the classroom.

Annual Function 2024-25

Every year, Sparsh High organizes its  Annual Function, offering a platform, for students to showcase talents in dance, drama, mime and  street play. The 2024-25 theme was Environment, where students from classes 1 to 5 created awareness on saying no to plastic, highlighting Jadav Payeng and Purnima Devi’s inspiring documentary.
